Baton Rouge Healthcare Center is a skilled nursing and
rehabilitation center located in East Baton Rouge Parish, owned and
operated by CommCare Corporation.
Our staff specializes in providing skilled nursing, long term
care, and short and long term rehabilitation such as physical,
speech, occupational and restorative therapies. We serve Baton
Rouge and the surrounding areas; working closely with Baton Rouge
General, Our Lady of the Lake and Lane Regional Medical
Center in Zachary LA in transitioning patients to our
nursing home arrangements.
Rehabilitation is an essential element of life at Baton Rouge
Health Care Center. We want to restore you to the health you
enjoyed before the accident, illness, or operation that brought you
to our center. Physical therapy restores muscle strength and
improves coordination; occupational therapy can help people who've
been disabled to re-learn essential life functions like eating,
bathing, and dressing; and speech therapy can help victims of brain
trauma, such as a stroke, to re-train the muscles in the mouth and
throat so they can speak and eat properly. The Specialty
Rehab Unit at Baton Rouge Health Care Center , which is in
construction now, will be a separate wing of the facility,
designed to provide quality care and rehabilitative services to
you, either short-term or continuing into a long-term stay. Each
resident is provided a private room, large enough and comfortable
enough to have therapy in the privacy of your own room or you can
join the fun with the other members in the Rehab Room. We also have
therapies designed for the outdoors in the private courtyard for
